Delivered by St John Ambulance, this one-day course provides basic lifesaving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations. Hosted in our Faraday Suite from 09.30 to 17.00. The cost per candidate is £125+VAT and includes lunch from Babbage’s Bistro.

Talks at Mountain View aim to make high quality informational talks and discussions available and accessible to the wider community, especially for people living in the North of the Island.

Welcoming a selection of exciting guest speakers and running for approximately an hour, including the opportunity for audience questions and answers, Talks at Mountain View are free to attend. Babbage’s Bistro is also open from 5.00pm on those evenings delivering a selection of hot food and refreshments to purchase prior to the talk - ideal for those coming straight from work.

Both passionate about the environment and sustainability, they wanted to use their skills and experience to help make recycling accessible for everyone. As massive advocates for environmental awareness and sustainable initiatives, we were absolutely delighted to welcome Clara to Mountain View to share her knowledge, provide encouragements as to how you can start recycling and to answer any questions or concerns you may have about recycling.

Building A Mentally Healthy Workplace

Growing up in Northern Ireland during ‘The Troubles’ and later being evacuated from Zaire at gunpoint during the outbreak of civil war, Ali Vondy is no stranger to difficult situations and witnessing tragic circumstances. This wealth of life experience was invaluable to Ali as she undertook her training as an instructor with Mental Health First Aid England and Mindapples UK, going on to found Manx Minds, a mental health and wellbeing training company. In this informative and interactive talk, Ali addresses the need to keep ourselves mentally fit and provides tips on how to do this, both at home and in creating a culture of care in the workplace.
